Location Singapore/Malaysia

 

Successfully candidate would be initially based in Singapore HQ serving both Singapore & Malaysia clients. Directly reporting to Managing Director, he/she would be responsible on the setup of Malaysia office and eventually based in Malaysia.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate potential and opportunities on market and customer feedback as well as general economic trends.
  • Create new service solutions with the support of Business Unit specialists.
  • Support the strategic market development.
  • Support the development of  regional and various divisional customer service strategies.
  •  Active development of the customer service (turnover and profit) including overhaul, spare parts sales, repair and maintenance, consulting, service, training etc.
  •  Manage product portfolio and lead new products to market success.
  •  Business and budget responsibility for the customer service portfolio in Singapore and  Malaysia.
  •  Ensure proper resource planning of Service Engineers for delegation such as project start-up,service and warranty etc., including weekend and emergency call.
  • Contribute customer service resources to regional support where necessary.
  • Work closely with Accounts Department to ensure proper invoicing and payment of customers for related services and orders.
  • Conduct customer visits and follow-up calls.
  • Review and overall management of complaints.

People Management & Succession Planning:

  • Lead and manage customer  service team (Service Engineers, Customer Service Coordinator and Spare parts Order Processing etc.) such as daily service report, expense claim and annual employee performance management (EPM).
  • Responsible for the growth and  development of local organizations including training and development needs of customer service personnel.
  • Responsible for hiring of competent customer service personnel as well as proper succession planning of local  key positions.

Job Requirements:

  • Candidate must possess at least a Professional Certificate, Diploma, Advanced/Higher/Graduate Diploma, Bachelor's Degree, Post Graduate Diploma, Professional Degree, Engineering  (Electrical/Electronic), Engineering (Mechanical) or equivalent.
  • At least 4 year(s) of working experience in the related field is required for this position.
  • Experience in sales and service function for industrial goods.
  • Experience leading Customer Service Engineer team.
  • Good marketing knowledge.
  • Project management and start-up experience is a plus.
  • Legal and commercial experience e.g. Incoterms 2010.
  • Ability to understand customer’s requirements and to translate them into solution.
