Assistant Sales Manager

The client, is a specialist provider of industrial air and vacuum solutions, supporting a wide range of sectors with engineered equipment and system integration. The business serves diverse industries including wastewater treatment, manufacturing, power generation and aquaculture, backed by a strong track record of project delivery and technical expertise.

Key Responsibilities

  • Drive and execute effective sales strategies to consistently achieve monthly and annual revenue targets
  • Lead, coach and monitor the performance of junior sales team members to ensure productivity and growth
  • Identify, develop and convert new business opportunities to expand market presence and customer base
  • Manage the full sales cycle from prospecting and lead generation through to negotiation and closing
  • Analyse market trends, competitor activities and industry developments to uncover growth opportunities
  • Provide timely market insights and strategic feedback to management
  • Prepare accurate sales forecasts and performance reports on a weekly and monthly basis
  • Take ownership of Accounts Receivable (AR) for assigned accounts to ensure timely collection

Requirements:

  • Diploma or Degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, or related disciplines
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in industrial sales, B2B sales, technical sales, engineering sales or solution sales
  • Proven track record in business development, key account management and achieving sales targets
  • Experience handling industrial equipment, mechanical systems, air systems, pumps, blowers or engineering solutions is an added advantage
  • Strong skills in client acquisition, lead generation, negotiation and closing high-value deals
  • Ability to understand technical requirements and propose customised solutions to industrial clients
  • Strong market awareness with the ability to analyse market trends, competitor landscape and customer needs
  • Independent, results-driven and ambitious with leadership potential to progress into a Head of Sales / Sales Manager role
