A leading global industrial technology company is hiring a Service Engineer to support advanced electronic generator systems (plasma solutions) across Southeast Asia. This is a high-visibility role combining electronics repair, field service engineering, installation, and customer support, working closely with advanced manufacturing customers.  Based in Malaysia office.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform electronics troubleshooting, repair, and testing of industrial generators at the repair centre
  • Execute on-site installation, commissioning, maintenance, and technical support across Southeast Asia
  • Deliver technical training to customers to ensure optimal equipment performance
  • Prepare service reports, repair logs, and logistics documentation
  • Handle equipment packing and coordination for repair and return delivery
  • Drive service sales growth through customer visits and technical engagement
  • Collect and update installed base and customer data to support service and business development
  • Maintain test equipment calibration and operational readiness
  • Support daily repair centre operations and administrative tasks

Requirements
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering / Electronic Engineering or equivalent
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in electronics repair, field service, or manufacturing environment
  • Strong knowledge of electronic circuits, electrical schematics, and components (IGBT, FPGA, etc.)
  • Experience in industrial equipment, plasma generators, or semiconductor / solar manufacturing is an advantage
  • Good communication skills in English and Bahasa Malaysia
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills
  • Independent, proactive, and customer-oriented mindset
  • Willing to travel within Malaysia and Southeast Asia (SEA)
